How to fix Fastboot not detecting your device

If you want to Root your Android mobile or if you want to unlock the bootloader of your Android mobile then Fastboot and ADB were the most helpful tools for Android.

But on some devices, Fastboot failed to detect your Android device even if you have installed the USB driver of your Android Mobile.

So today in this post I am going to show you how to fix the Fastboot not detecting your device problem, so check out the method below.

Fix the Fastboot Device detection problem

So first of all to fix this problem, you have to install the Fastboot driver, so first download the Fastboot driver from the link below:-

Now after downloading the Fastboot driver from the above link, then follow the steps below to install this:

1) First of all extract the Fastboot zip file using any extracting software like Winrar or 7Zip.

2. Now after extracting put your mobile to recovery mode and then connect it to your PC.

You can also put your mobile to recovery mode using the ADB, just connect your mobile to your PC, and then from ADB type the following

ADB reboot-bootloader

4. Now after entering the recovery mode, connect your mobile to the PC.

5. Now open the device manager on your Windows, you can right-click on the Start in Windows 10 and then click on Device Manager to open it

or you can right-click on This PC and then go to the Properties

and then select the device manager.

6. Now in the device manager under the Unknow device, find your mobile there in my case it looks like this as shown in the pic below, in your case it could be different.

7. Now right-click on it and then click on Update driver.

8. Now select the 2nd option 'Browse my computer for driver software.

9. Now again select the 2nd option 'Let me pick from the list.

10. Now select show all devices and click on next.

11. Now on the next Window, click on 'Have a disk'

then click on browse

12. Now, here go to the Fastboot folder you extracted in Step 1, and then select the file "android_winusb.inf".

13. Now click on ok and then click on Next.

14. Now again click on Yes.

15. Now you will be prompted to allow the driver installation, click on Install.

16. Now the driver has been installed successfully.

17. Now you can see the 'Android ADB Interface' under the Android phone, which means the driver is now installed.

18. Now go back to Fastboot and type 'Fastboot devices'

19. Now you can see the device has now been detected.

Note:- If still not detected then make sure that you have installed the USB driver of your Mobile on Windows then follow all the above steps again. You can download the USB driver of any Android mobile from here.
