Instagram will start asking suspicious accounts requiring Identity Verification
Soon Instagram to require Suspicious accounts to verify their identities, Instagram insists that this new policy will not have any impact on the vast majority of its users.
"This includes accounts potentially engaged in coordinate inauthentic behavior when we see the majority of someone followers are in a different country to their location or if we find signs of automation such as bot accounts."
Instagram says that this move is meant to help the company understand when accounts are attempting to mislead their followers and keep the Instagram community safe.
So according to the new rules, accounts that have been flagged for alleged inauthentic behavior will be asked to verify their identity by submitting an official government-issued ID card.
